Polly Lewis is a member of the firm Lewis & Lewis, Attorneys at Law, PLLC with her son Andrew A. Lewis.  Ms. Lewis has practiced law in private firms in the areas of wills, trusts, estate planning, tax law, probate, and business law since 1983.  Prior to being licensed to practice law, Ms. Lewis served clients as a C.P.A. in large and medium accounting firms, counseling individuals and businesses in accounting and tax matters.

Credentials and Appointments

  • Ms. Lewis is board certified in Estate Planning & Probate Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.
  • Ms. Lewis has been a Certified Public Accountant since 1978.
  • Ms. Lewis served as the City Attorney of the City of Seabrook, Texas from 1987-1994 and as Municipal Judge from 1986 to 1987.

Education and Training

  • Ms. Lewis earned her B.A. in Business and Economics from Rice University in 1960.
  • Ms. Lewis earned her J.D., with honors, from the University of Connecticut School of Law in 1983, where she received the Prentice Hall Award in Taxation.

Professional Affiliations

  • Ms. Lewis is a Member of the Texas Bar.  She has been an active member of the Houston Bar Elder Law Committee and the Texas State Bar Grievance Committee.

Community and Personal

  • Ms. Lewis has served as an officer or board member to various organizations including the Bay Area Turning Point, Bay Area Turning Point Foundation, Association of Business and Professional Women, Houston Bar Association, Armand Bayou Nature Center, Lunar Rendezvous, and the Planned Giving Committee of the University of Houston Clear Lake. Ms. Lewis has been an active member of the Seabrook Rotary and the Seabrook Rotary Foundation.
  • Ms. Lewis is the wife of Michael Pierson, and is the mother of four children and grandmother to nine grandchildren.
  • Ms. Lewis is a member of the Christ Church Episcopal Cathedral.
