Meet Our Attorneys

Polly P. Lewis is a founding member of Lewis & Lewis. Polly has practiced law in private firms in the areas of wills, trusts, estate planning, tax law, probate, and business law in the Clear Lake area for more than three decades.  Prior to being licensed to practice law, Polly served clients as a CPA in large and medium accounting firms, counseling individuals and businesses in accounting and tax matters. Polly has been board certified in Estate Planning & Probate Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization since 1991.

 

Education and Professional Certifications/Appointments

  • Polly earned her B.A. from Rice University in 1960. 
  • Polly earned her J.D., with honors, from the University of Connecticut in School of Law in 1983, where she received the Prentice Hall Award in Taxation.
  • Polly has been a Certified Public Accountant since 1978. 
  • Polly served as the City Attorney of the City of Seabrook, Texas from 1987-1994 and as Municipal Judge for the City of Seabrook from 1986 to 1987.

Polly is Member of the Texas Bar.  She is also a member of The College of the State Bar of Texas; the Houston Bar Association: Probate, Trust and Estates Section; and Attorneys in Tax and Probate. She has been an active member of a member of the Houston Bar Elder Law Committee and the Texas State Bar Grievance Committee.

 

Community and Personal

  • Polly is married to Michael Pierson, is the mother of four children and grandmother to ten grandchildren.  
  • Polly has served as an officer or board member to various organizations including the Bay Area Turning Point, Bay Area Turning Point Foundation, Association of Business and Professional Women, Houston Bar Association, Armand Bayou Nature Center, Lunar Rendezvous, and the Planned Giving Committee of the University of Houston Clear Lake. 
  • Polly is a member of the Christ Church Episcopal Cathedral.

Andrew A. Lewis (Andy) is a founding member of Lewis & Lewis, and is the president of the firm. Andy represents clients in simple and complex estate planning matters, probate administration, asset protection, and business law.  In addition to being a lawyer, Andy has served as a judge for over a decade and as an experienced mediator for nearly two decades; in those roles he has tried, heard, and settled thousands of cases.

  • Andy earned his B.A. from Rice University in 1991, where he founded the Rice Crew.
  • Andy earned his J.D., with honors, from Tulane University in 1996, where he was a member of the international appealate moot court team and associate editor for the international law review. 
  • Andy earned his M.B.A. from Emory University in 2004.
  • Andy was Board Certified in Estate Planning and Probate by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in 2012.
  • Andy has served as an Associate Municipal Judge for the City of Houston since 2010.
  • Andy served as Magistrate Judge for Cobb County, Georgia from 2003 to 2008.
  • Andy served on the Faculty of the Georgia Institute of Judicial Continuing Education from 2005 to 2008
  • Andy served as Deputy Director of the Georgia Supreme Court’s Office of Dispute Resolution from 2001 to 2002.
  • Andy served as Staff Attorney to the Chief Judge of the Cobb Superior Court (metro-Atlanta, Georgia) from 1997 to 1999.

  • Andy has served as an officer, director, or chairman in numerous professional organizations, including Executive Council of the Georgia Bar Younger Lawyers Division; the Cobb Mediators Association; the Cobb County Bar Association; the Association for Conflict Resolution, and Attorneys in Tax and Probate, Houston, Texas.

Community and Personal

  • Andy currently resides in the Clear Lake area and has three children all of whom attended Clear Creek ISD schools.
  • Andy graduated from HSPVA and is an amateur guitar player, and an avid runner and scuba diver.
  • Andy attends St. Thomas Episcopal Church where he sings in the choir.

Tran B. Nguyen joined Lewis & Lewis in 2013. Tran’s primary practice has been representing clients in fiduciary and guardianship litigation and counseling clients on their estate planning needs. Prior to joining Lewis & Lewis, Tran was in-house counsel to a Houston based publishing company and had worked with various private firms by providing support for their discovery processes in various legal matters.

  • Tran earned her B.A. in Philosophy with a minor in Biology from Fordham University in 1997.
  • Tran earned her J.D. from The University of Texas School of Law in 2004.

Community and Personal

  • Tran resides in mid-town Houston, but grew up in the Southwest area of Houston renowned for its abundance of great Asian restaurants. She graduated from Lamar Senior High School.
  • Tran is an avid hot yoga practitioner and scuba diver. She enjoys being in nature and traveling to different destinations to sample the local cuisine.

Sarah Sokol Clark joined Lewis & Lewis in 2014.  Sarah is passionate about helping individuals and families plan for their future. Sarah’s primary practice focuses on client counseling and drafting comprehensive estate plans, including simple and complex Wills and Trusts, as well as powers of attorneys, and other ancillary instruments.  Prior to joining Lewis & Lewis, Sarah was an associate attorney at a private firm, assisting clients in a wide variety of estate planning, probate and administration, trusts,  and guardianship matters. 

 

Education and Professional Certification

  • Sarah earned her dual B.A., with honors, in Psychology and Sociology from The University of Texas Austin in 2009.
  • Sarah earned her J.D. from the Texas Tech University School of Law in 2012, where she received the Jurisprudence Award for Superior Academic Achievement in Business Torts and Estate and Gift Taxation, and served as an Articles Editor for the Estate Planning and Community Property Journal.
  • Sarah earned her Master’s degree in Personal Financial Planning, with honors, also from Texas Tech University in 2012 and completed the Certified Financial Planners Program focusing on estate, tax, and charitable giving for clients.
  • Ad Litem Certification for Heirships and Guardianships.

  • Sarah lives in the Clear Lake area where she grew up. She attended Seabrook Intermediate and Clear Lake High School.
  • Sarah attends St. Bernadette’s Catholic Church.
  • Sarah enjoys being out on the lake with her husband and their two large dogs, photography, cooking, wandering through vintage stores, and watching college football (Go Horns!).
